William "Billy" Francis Turner

William "Billy" Francis Turner Jr., resident of Whitten Center in Clinton, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, at Laurens County Hospital in Laurens.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a resident of Whitten Center in Clinton and attended the Whitten Center Chapel.

Surviving are mother, Betty Martin Turner of Abbeville; sisters, Patricia Davenport and Evelyn T. Horton, both of Abbeville; and a grandmother, Floride Edwards Turner of McCormick.

He was the son of the late William Francis Turner Sr.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at the Whitten Center Chapel by the Rev. Bob Thompson; burial will be in Lebanon Presbyterian Church cemetery Friday at 1:30 p.m. in Abbeville. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville. The family will receive friends at the Whitten Center Chapel Friday morning after services.

The family will be at the home of his mother, Betty Turner, 103 Turner Lane, Abbeville.

The family suggests memorials be made to Whitten Center, P.O. Box 239, Clinton, S.C. 29325.
