William "Bill" Herchel Ray, Sr

William Herchel "Bill" Ray ,Sr., 77, resident of 600 Due West Hwy. went to his heavenly home Thursday May 4, 2017.

He was born in Elbert Co. Georgia a son of the late Hoke William Ray and Mary Fowler Ray.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 37 years Mary Holbrook Ray of the home; four sons William H. Ray, Jr. (Alice), Richard D. Ray (Tracey), Greg Hanna (Lisa) and Chris Hanna (Tammy) all of Anderson, SC; one daughter Judy Wright of Charleston, SC; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers Marshall, Keith and Jerry Ray.
Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

A Celebration of Bill's life will be conducted Sunday May7, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Grace Baptist Church in Starr, SC conducted by the Revs. Mike Thomas and Gary Bill.
