William "Bill" Maben Kirkpatrick

March 10, 1922 — May 13, 2013

William Maben "Bill" Kirkpatrick, Jr., 91, resident of 133 Watts Rd., widower of Elizabeth Greer Kirkpatrick, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2013 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born March 10, 1922, in Lexington, Virginia, he was a son of the late William Maben Kirkpatrick, Sr. and Ethel Jennings Kirkpatrick.

Bill was a United States Army veteran of WWII. He was also retired from Coats and Clark Thread Company with over 50 years of service. Bill was also a mason and a member of the Tucker Georgia Lodge. He had been a member for over 60 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Tucker, Georgia. Bill will be remembered for his kind and gentle manner.

Survivors include his son, Rev. Edward Kirkpatrick of the home; a sister, Mary Francis K. Jones of North Augusta, SC; a brother, Samuel L. Kirkpatrick of Lexington, Virginia.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, May 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Melwood Cemetery in Stone Mountian, Georgia with the Rev. Gary Pierstorff officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home.
