William "Bill" Harold Evans

July 8, 1927 — April 19, 2010

William "Bill" Harold Evans, 82, resident of 222 Hwy. 72 husband of Lillian Bradley Evans passed away Monday April 19, 2010 at Hospice of the Piedmont Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Spartanburg, SC he was a son of the late Charles Gary Evans an Eula Brown Evans.

He was a United States Navy veteran having served during World War II. He was retired from Rainbow Sign Co. with 36 years of service. Bill was also a very talented free lance artist having hand drawn many of the beautiful pictures in his home. He was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Greenwood, SC.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years Lillian Bradley Evans of the home; 2 sons Pat Evans and his wife Pearl of York, SC and Mike Evans and his wife Carolyn of Chester, SC; 1 sister Mary Hudson of Abbeville, SC; 3 grandchildren Tony Evans, Tina Hudson and Matthew Evans; 4 great grandchildren Casey Evans, Makayla Hudson, Zeke Evans and Luke Evans.

A Christian Service of burial will be conducted Wednesday April 21, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Father Jim Crowley officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the residence 222 Hwy. 72 Abbeville, SC.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral home where the family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Wednesday prior to services.
