William "Bill" Calvin Ellis

William "Bill" Calvin Ellis Jr., 82, resident of 156 Gin House Rd., husband of Edna Williams Ellis, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at his home.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC, he was a son of the late William Calvin Ellis, Sr. and Blanche Plexico Ellis.

Early in his career Bill was in the Timber cruising business and retired as a heavy equipment operator and managed his own land clearing and grading operation business. He was also a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years Edna Williams Ellis of the home; his children Billy, Donna and Rita; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM in Shiloh United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jonathan Donald officiating.

The family is at the home.
