Viola Burdette Graham

Viola Burdette Graham, 85, resident of 657 Sharon Church Rd. widow of James William Graham passed away Monday Sept. 13, 2010 at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC, she was a daughter of the late Ed Burdette and Ione Bufford Burdette.

She was a former employee of Rocky River Mills and was a retired homemaker. She was a faithful member of Abbeville First Baptist Church. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include 1 son, Roger Graham and his wife, Rose, of Abbeville, SC; 1 daughter, Eve Poole and her husband, Cary, of Abbeville, SC; 3 sisters, Molly McCurry of Abbeville, SC, Betty Barry of Columbia, SC and Lennie Reid of Honea Path, SC; grandchildren Jared Graham and his wife, Mary, of Greenwood, SC, Casey Wilson and his wife, Jodie, of Greenwood, SC and Dana Ashcraft of Due West, SC; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Caroline Stroud.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Sept. 15, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Kyle Antone officiating: The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home of her son Mr. & Mrs. Roger Graham 220 Old Vienna Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The body is at the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Wednesday afternoon prior to services.
