Mr Hughes was my next door neighbor on Calhoun St. We were neighbors for almost 21 years. He was always so nice. Prayers for his family.

Van was my next door neighbor and we grew up on Calhoun Street. I was an only child. Van, his two brothers and two sisters were like my brothers and sisters. We had a great childhood n a wonderful neighborhood. Van worked for my dad for a few years before going into service and I remember Dad saying Van was one of his best workers. I will miss Van like a brother. My prayers are for him and his family. Will surely miss a life long friend.

Van was a great friend to Robert and I and he loved painting our home, anywhere in that big house he would paint. He always wanted to do more for us and we considered him part of the family. One of his favorite sayings to me was "Say NO to That"!!!!! Rest high Van we think of you often.
