Stephen "Steve" Lynn Parker

Stephen L. "Steve" Parker, 61, resident of 1696 Nation Rd. husband of Catherine Harris Parker passed away Monday Aug. 6, 2012 at Abbeville Area Medical Center.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was the son of Marion "Buck" Below Parker and Betty Powell Parker.

Steve was a 1969 graduate of Abbeville High School and received his Degree from Clemson University in 1973. Steve was a retired supervisor with Milliken Textiles Company after 35 years of service. He was a member of Bells United Methodist Church. Steve was also an avid Clemson Tiger fan and enjoyed life and being with his family and many friends.

Survivors include his loving wife Catherine Harris Parker of the home; a daughter Graham P. Moroney and her husband Brian of Clemson, SC; his parents Marion "Buck" Below Parker and Betty Powell Parker of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother David Parker and his wife Lana of Gaffney, SC; 2 grandchildren Parker and Campbell Moroney.

He was preceded in death by a son Benjamin Barrett Parker.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday Aug. 8, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Bells United Methodist Church Cemetery with Mr. Nowell Copley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family is at the home 1696 Nation Rd. Abbeville, SC.
