Sidney "Sid" Dale Brady

December 23, 1941 — July 7, 2002

Sidney "Sid" Dale Brady, 60, of 200 Dundas Road died Sunday, July 7, 2002, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Statesville, N.C., he received his master's degree in education from Clemson University. He worked his lifetime in the field of education, having retired from the Greenwood School District. For many years he was principal of Wright Middle School in Abbeville. Before his death he was a driver's education instructor at Piedmont Technical College. He was also a member of Abbeville Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are widow, Margaret Mundy Brady of the home; sons, Richard Brady of Anderson and Ryan Brady of Aiken; mother, Mabel Sigeman Brady of Statesville; brothers, Trent Brady of Heidnite, N.C., and Kent Brady of Statesville; and sisters, Ms. Bill Pope and Ms. Dean Lewis, both of Statesville.

He was the son of the late Coyte P. Brady.

Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Abbeville Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John Timmerman; burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Abbeville. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The family will be at the home.

The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Foundation, 301 University Ridge Drive, Greenville, S.C. 29601.
