Shaunna Paulette Dornberg

Shaunna Paulette Dornberg, 37, resident of 907 Washington St. Abbeville, SC, passed away Tuesday July 21, 2009 at Hospice of the Piedmont, surrounded by her family. Shaunna fought her cancer never giving up or losing hope and is now with her Heavenly Father.

Born in Newberry Co. SC, she was the daughter of Alvin Smith and the late Vicky Dornberg.

Survivors are: Bob Shirley and her daughter, Lisa, both of the home: her father of Port Arthur, TX; her paternal grandmother, Frances Smith of Greenwood, SC; her maternal auny, Linda D. Covan of Pauline; her maternal uncle, Larry Dornberg of Sanford, FL; paternal aunts, Connie Cobb, Terri Smith and Ann Poole, all of Greenwood; her half sisters, Katrina Davis, Sonya Fallaw, Amber Smith and Crystal Smith all of Greenwood. Shuanna was reared in the home of Carolyn and Richard Berdusco of Greenwood and the late Jimmy Dornberg.

She was preceded in death by her mother, paternal grandfather, Tom Smith, Jr. and maternal grandparents Chris and Pauline Hogan Dornberg.

Services will be conducted at the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home on Friday July 24, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Randy Taylor officiating. The burial will follow in Keowee Baptist Church Cemetery in Honea Path, SC. The family is at the residence 907 Washington St. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 PM Friday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be all staff and volunteers of Hospice of the Piedmont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
