Ruth Blum McDonald

Ruth Blum McDonald, 84, resident of Abbeville Arms Apartments No. 303 died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at her home.

Born in Abbeville County, she was a retired textile industry employee with Abbeville Mills and also retired from Goodrich, Inc. in the payroll department. She was also a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving are son, James "Ted" McDonald Jr. of Woodstock, Ga.; daughter, Nancy Brown of Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of James "Ted" McDongald and the daughter of the late Jim and Nancy Culbreth Blum.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace United Methodist Church by the Revs. Darren Hook and Billy Osborne; burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery. The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
