Rose Campbell Wilson

March 21, 1911 — July 1, 2004

Rose Campbell Wilson, 93, of 1104 N. Main St., widow of Homer Franklin Wilson, died Thursday, July 1, 2004, at Abbeville County Memorial Hospital.

Born in Abbeville County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Fulton and Cleo Wansley Campbell. She was the last surviving member of the Abbeville County Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Training. She was a retired nurse and was an industrial nurse for Abbeville Mills for more than 20 years. She also attended Lander College. She was a former member of the Chrysanthemum Garden Club. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Abbeville.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara Wakefield of Calhoun Falls, Wilma Reeves of Abbeville and Jean Hammond of Edgefield; sons, Lawrence Franklin Wilson of Greenwood and James ?Jimmy? Wilson of Abbeville; sisters, Caroline Prince of Calhoun Falls, Geneva Hart of Anderson, Lanie Whitmorth of McAdenville, N.C., and Doris Auten of Gastonia, N.C.; brother, Leonard Calvert Campbell of Gastonia; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Abbeville by the Rev. Reiny Koschel; burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Wilma Reeves, 306 Hillcrest Drive, Abbeville.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 825, Abbeville, S.C. 29620. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville.
