Robin "Rob" Dee Nixon

Robin Dee "Rob" Nixon, 48, resident of Hampton St. in Iva passed away Sunday Sept. 29, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was the son of Frankie Nixon and Vickie Cain Spires.

Rob was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School and The Myrtle Beach School of Cosmetology. He was a self employed professional cosmetologist. Rob will be remembered for his warm and caring personality toward all he came in contact with.

His family wishes to thank all his many friends and family for all their prayers and support during Rob's illness.

Survivors include his mother Vickie Cain Spires (Danny Ray) of Abbeville, SC ; father Frankie Nixon (Grace) of Anderson, SC ; one sister Sherri Caldwell (Glenn) of Lowndesville, SC ; 3 brothers Derrick Nixon (Chrissy) of Anderson, SC ; Jason Nixon (Emerald) of Anderson, SC ; Shane Spires (Amy) of Abbeville, SC; nieces Brook and Courtney and several other nieces an nephews and his beloved dog Sassy Jane.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 at 4:00 PM in Grace United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating. The burial will follow in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Lowndesville, SC. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Shane Spires 5459 Hwy. 71 Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at Grace United Methodist Church Wednesday Oct. 2, 2013 prior to services. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Shane Spires 5459 Hwy. 71 Abbeville, SC.
