Robert "Bobby" Hugh Mundy

Robert Hugh "Bobby" Mundy, Jr., 64, resident of 309 Oakridge St., husband of Brenda Braswell Mundy, died Monday, Sept. 27, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC , he was a son of Lillie Mae Sharpe Mundy and the late R.H. Mundy.

Bobby attended Clemson University. He was a retired conductor with CSX Railroad with over 40 years of service. He also served in the National Guard and was of the Presbyterian faith. He will be missed by his loving family and many friends.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Braswell Mundy of the home; 2 daughters Kimberly Sherard and her husband Bobby of Calhoun Falls, SC and Shelia Denman and her husband Greg of Crawford, TX; his mother, Lillie Mae Mundy; a sister Lucretia Seigler and her husband Bill of Irmo, SC and a brother Tommy Mundy and his wife Sharon of Abbeville, SC; 4 grandchildren, Derek Kilgore, Alex Kilgore, Rylee Denman and Raegan Denman and 3 step-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bobby's Life will be conducted Wednesday Sept. 29, 2010 at 4:00 PM in the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eldredge Kelley officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Wednesday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home. The family is at the home 309 Oakridge St. Abbeville, SC.

In Lieu of flowers memorials in memory of Bobby may be made to The American Cancer Society C/O Mrs. Conway Shirley PO Box 566 Due West, SC 29639 or to the Greenwood Humane Society PO Box 242 Greenwood, SC 29648.
