Robert Graham Harris

Robert "Graham" Harris, 80, formerly of 179 Orchard Park Dr. Greenwood, SC widower of Ruby Ross Harris passed away Sept. 6, 2009 at National Health Care in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC he was a son of the late John Andrew Harris and Mary Graham Harris.

He was a retired Medical Technologist with Self Regional Medical Center with over 36 years of service. He was a Graduate of the University of South Carolina and received his M.A. Degree from Central Michigan University in Management. He was retired from the National Guard having earned the rank of Major. He was also a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Survivors include 3 daughters Catherine H. Parker and her husband Steve of Abbeville, SC, Robin H. Todd and Janet Harris both of Greenwood, SC; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday Sept. 9, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Long Cane Cemetery with the Rev. David C. Dority officiating. The family is at the home of his daughter Janet Harris 149 Highland Drive in Greenwood, SC.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday evening at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home in Abbeville, SC.
