Rhett Randall Simpson, 58, resident of 313 Noble Drive husband of Lisa Sorrow Simpson passed away peacefully at his home Sunday Nov. 21, 2021 with his loving family by his side.

Born in Abbeville, SC Jan. 28, 1963 he was a son of the late Helen Meadows Perkins and the late Randall Simpson.
Rhett was a faithful member of Abbeville Congregational Holiness Church, which was also where he met his loving wife of 41 years. He was the Superintendent of CHC for 10 years & over the youth group during that time. Rhett enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, being outdoors, & most of all spending time with his family. He was a very hard worker who was employed at Capsugel as a maintenance technician II for 26 years. He was very devoted to his work, but he always put God and his family first and foremost in his life. His favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4: 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. He lived by this verse and raised his family up with a strong foundation centered in the Lord.
Survivors include: His beloved wife of 41 years Lisa Sorrow Simpson of the home; his son Josh Simpson (Nicole) of Greenwood, SC; a daughter Tara Henderson (Timothy) of Abbeville, SC; a sister Dena George (Karen) of Georgia; two brothers Thomas Perkins of Georgia and Brent Simpson of South Carolina: Four grandchildren Clayton Simpson, Coleton Simpson, Tucker Simpson, and Trinity Henderson.


Funeral services will be conducted Sunday Nov. 28, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Congregational Holiness Church, 921 South Main Street, Abbeville, with Rev. Willie McCurry officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

The family is at the home 313 Noble Drive Abbeville, SC.
