Paul "Pete" Grier Williams

Paul Grier Williams III, "Pete" age 54, was born January 12, 1956 and died December 27, 2010 in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Paul Grier Williams III "Pete" formerly of Abbeville, South Carolina was the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. L.E. Starnes of Abbeville.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Williams Jr. of Abbeville, a sister, Susan Williams Gessler of Fayetteville, Arkansas, a brother, Luke Starnes Williams of Abbeville, two nieces, Natalie Gessler Ramsey of Huntsville, Alabama, Caroline Elizabeth Gessler of Senatobia, Mississippi and his life partner, Marshall D. Burke of Blue Ridge, Georgia.

Pete was a graduate of Lakeside High School in Hot Springs, Arkansas and a graduate of The University of South Carolina in Columbia. Pete was a deacon in the Cherry Log Christian Church and a Realtor with Coldwell Banker High Country Realty in Blue Ridge Georgia. He was active in philanthropic and community affairs in Blue Ridge.

A Celebration of Pete's life will be conducted Thursday, January 6, 2011 at Cherry Log Christian Church at 11:00 A.M. The family is at the home of his parents Mr. & Mrs. Paul Williams 257 Whip-O-Will Road Abbeville.
