Guestbook

My sister & I had the pleasure of visiting with Howard and Quida at their home in Greenwood a few years back. Howard & my dad are first cousins and he helped connect the Nickels family with their roots. Quida was the most plesant woman and we are so sorry to hear the news. We only just heard of her passing and that was because I have been thinking about quida and Howard for awhile. We hope to visit Howard again soon. We will always remember her for her kindness to two women. she invited us into her home and treated us like real family. God bless Quida and Howard.

To the family of Ouida, I was fortunate to see Ouida just about a week before she left this earth and I will always remember that smile and kindness. She worked with my father John Livingston at 1st Pres in Greenwood. My father thought the world of her and I know they are friends again in heaven. She was a good and faithful servant. I hope to run into Howard when visiting my mother at Presbyterian Home. Again, my deepest sympathy in your loss. We just found out yesterday. Sincerely Rosemary Livingston

It was a sacred privilege to have Quida, surrounded by her loved ones, in our Hospice House during the last hours of her life before entering eternity. Her loving family was an inspiration to me and to our staff. Unfortunately I have a funeral obligation at the very same hour on Saturday and will not be able to join you for the service. I hope to drop by P. Home to see Mr. Nickles one day soon.

Dan Compton, Chaplain, HLC Dec 3 2010 12:00 AM

Our sympathy is extended to you and the family. Ouida was always friendly and helpful when we both attended Presbytery. We knew she would always give us the help we needed.

Dear Nickles family, I worked with Quida at Self. In fact, she hired me for my position there in Medical Records. She was one of the nicest people I have ever met. Always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Please know I my prayers are with each of you during this time.

Ouida was one of the nicest people that I have met. We played bridge together in Due West and it was always fun. Ouida loved cards and she was very good at Bridge. I will miss her. My sympathy and prayers are with the family. Marilyn Gilmer
