Novella Busby McCurry

Novella Busby McCurry, 78, resident of 507 Maple St. widow of Melvin "Buck" McCurry passed away Wednesday Nov. 21, 2012 at her home.

Born in Anderson, SC she was a daughter of the late Jim Busby and Ida Busby.

Novella was a retired textile employee having worked for Abbeville Mills for a number of years. She was a member of Light House Baptist Church. Novella also enjoyed camping and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Donna Clark and her husband Craig of Lake Secession; 2 sons, Danny Ray McCurry and his wife Carolyn of Stone Mountian, Georgia and Don McCurry of Abbeville, SC; 1 sister, Lula Busby Smith of Abbeville, SC; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son Dale "Beulah" McCurry and a grandson Joshua McCurry.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday Nov. 23, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bobby Mabry officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 PM Friday afternoon at the funeral home prior to services. The family is at the home 507 Maple St. Abbeville, SC.
