Ned Lee Kirby

July 7, 1931 — November 4, 2003

Ned Lee Kirby, 72, resident of E-5 Eastgate Apartments died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2003, at Heardmont Nursing Home in Elberton, Ga.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a retired meat cutter with Winn Dixie and a member of the Independent Bible Church.

Surviving are daughters, Pamela K. Page and Lynn G. Parker, both of Greenville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Ervin and Emma Reynolds Kirby. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters.

Services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home; burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Pickens, at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, prior to services.

Memorial may be made to the local Meals on Wheels Abbeville Unit.
