Minnie C White

July 12, 1941 — February 1, 2024

Abbeville

 Minnie C White, widow of James Franklin White,  a beloved member of the community and a retired realtor at Prince Brothers Realty Company, has passed away at the age of 82. She was born on July 12, 1941, in West Union, SC. Minnie passed peacefully on February 1, 2024, at NHC Greenwood.

Minnie dedicated many years of her life to her career as realtor at Prince Brothers Realty Company. Her passion for helping others find their dream homes was evident in her dedication and commitment.

Beyond her career, Minnie found great joy in pursuing her hobbies and interests. She had a deep love for gardening, especially tending to her beautiful roses. Watching them bloom brought happiness to her heart and a smile to her face. 

Minnie cherished time spent with her family and friends. She is survived by her son William Benjamin White and his wife Angela. Their unwavering support and love brought immense joy to Minnie's life. She was also blessed with grandchildren - Stephen James White and wife Beth Ellen, Justin Tyler White and wife Lauren, Christopher Samuel Bowers and wife Andrea. Minnie's great-grandchildren, Araya Bowers, Timothy Bowers, Owen White, Lucy White, and Ellie White, were the source of much joy and never failed to put a smile on her face. Minnie is also survived by her siblings - Harold Cox of Bowman Ga., Troy Cox and wife Nancy, Marvin Cox and wife Barbara both from Greenwood. 

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents Norman Cox and Viola Knight Cox, her son Jeffrey White, as well as siblings Arthur Cox, Ruby Sutherland, Johnny Cox, Bobby Cox, and an infant sister Edna Louise.

A visitation will be held on February 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel located at 208 South Main Street in Abbeville, SC. Following the visitation will be the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Minnie's memory to The United Christian Ministries of Abbeville County, PO Box 502, Abbeville, SC 29620.
