Mildred "Millie" Ayers Serio

January 4, 1925 — April 22, 2012

Mildred "Millie" Ayers Serio, 87, resident of Magnolia Manor, widow of Salvatore James Serio passed away Sunday April 22, 2012 at Magnolia Manor.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Garfield Ayers and Jenny Widdle Ayers.

Millie was a retired grocery store cashier having worked for many years at the Calhoun Falls Grocery. She was also a member of the Calhoun Falls First Baptist Church. She will affectionatley remembered as "Miss Millie" by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include a daughter, JoAnn Bass of Abbeville, SC; 2 grandsons, Vince Bass and his wife, Karen, of Calhoun Falls, SC and Ryan Bass and his companion, Hope, of Clemson, SC; and1 great-grandson, William "Will" Bass.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Dalton officiating. The burial will follow in Latimer Cemetery in Calhoun Falls. The family is at the home of her daughter JoAnn Bass 102 Ridgeway St. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM Tuesday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of Millie may be made to a charity of one's choice.
