Mike Bosler

Mike Bosler, 83, resident of Abbeville, SC husband of Helen Ellis Bosler passed away Monday Dec. 5, 2011 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late Prescott S. Bosler and Lilly Latham Bosler.

Mr. Bosler was a US Army veteran having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired cattle and egg farmer after many years of service. He was also a mason and a member of the Clinton Lodge #3 AFM with over 40 plus years of service. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors are: His beloved wife of 61 years Helen Ellis Bosler of the home; 2 daughters Dale Baughman and her husband Frank of Anderson, SC and Fredda Hamby and her husband Andy of Greenwood, SC; 1 son Darren Bosler and his wife Jill of Abbeville, SC; 1 brother Rev. David Bosler of Spartanburg, SC; 2 sisters Lloyd Ellis of Calhoun Falls, SC and Sarah Mundy of Abbeville, SC; 7 grandchildren Michelle Baughman, Michael Baughman (Carolyn), Shane Hamby (Stacy), Shannon Davenport (Buck), Andrew, Jacob and Zac Bosler and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters Aileen Wallace, Barbara B. Watkins and Doris B. Hall and 1 brother Edgar Bosler.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday Dec. 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. David Bosler officiating with Masonic and Military Rites.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 PM Wednesday afternoon at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home prior to services at 3:00 PM. The family is at the home.
