Melinda J Davis

Melinda Jane Williams Davis, 61, wife of John B Davis, resident of Whip O Will Rd., entered into rest Saturday May 3, 2025 at Care of the Piedmont Hospice House.

Born on October 21, 1963 in Jacksonville FL to the late Bobby Joe and Dawn Baker Williams, a graduate of Westside Christian School, she also earned her Associates Degree from Anderson College. She was a Teacher’s Aide for the Abbeville School District for many years.

Melinda was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Surviving other than her husband of 37 years, of the home, are her son, Travis John Davis and wife Elizabeth of Portland IN; her sister, Vickie Briggs of Naples FL; her brother, Douglas Guy Williams of Abbeville; her grandchildren, Magnolia Rose Davis and Augustus Cole Davis.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 7th, at 3:00 PM from the Chandler Chapel of the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Slatten officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2:00 PM until the hour of service at the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials in Melinda’s memory be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W Alexander Ave. Greenwood, SC 29646.
