I am writing this today as I remember just two weeks ago we said an earthly goodbye to our precious mama. It still seems so unreal yet we know this is reality. My heart is grieving yet not without hope. Thank you to all who came to the service and for all the cards and sentiments expressed these past two weeks. I know my sisters are grateful to all as well. Merry Christmas to each of you and your families.

To all the family and friends of Mary Lee Newton Herndon, I extend my sincere condolences on this passing of a dear loved one. Her mother was my first cousin. I had the privilege of speaking to her by phone many years ago when she was documenting her mother's age, which had been recorded in the Jayroe Family Bible over a century ago, by my father's sister, Mary Caroline Jayroe Thomas (Mary's maternal grandmother). May her soul rest in Eternal Peace and Bliss.Harold B. Jayroe, PH.D
