Mary Williams Dusenberry

Mary Williams Dusenberry, 81, died Tuesday, October 10, 2006. Born in Abbeville, SC, on February 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Mamie Plexico Williams. She had been a Hampton resident since 1979 and was a member of the Elizabeth Lakes Estates Garden Club. Mrs. Dusenberry had worked in secretarial support for the Manhattan Project in Oakridge, TN, at Army Special Services in Washington, DC, and for the South Carolina Extension Services at Clemson University.

Mrs. Dusenberry is survived by her husband, Francis C. Dusenberry; daughter, Gayle D. Jackson of Atlanta, GA, son, John P. Dusenberry and wife Miriam of Ashville, NC; sister, Julia W. Prince of Abbeville, SC; and grandchildren, Marcus Dusenberry and Meredith Dusenberry. She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann W. Yonce.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home in Hampton, VA. A private interment will be in Melrose Cemetery, Abbeville, SC at a later date.
