Mary Jo DuPre Case

Mary Jo DuPre Case, 64, resident of 212 Bradford Lane Columbia, SC, wife of Mitchell Case passed away Monday April 18, 2016 at NHC in Columbia, SC.

She was born in Abbeville, SC August 28, 1951 a daughter of Adelaide Little DuPre and the late William C. DuPre.

Mary Jo was a graduate of Abbeville High School. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Education from Columbia College and her Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina. She was a retired mathematics teacher having last taught at Spring Valley High School in Columba, SC. She was a member of Spring Valley Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include: her husband Mitchell Case of the home; a son Jeffery DuPre Gabriel of San Diego, CA; a daughter Maribeth Little Gabriel Elam of Lexington, SC; two step-daughters Kristen Barber and Lauren Case both of Columbia, SC; her mother Adelaide Little DuPre of Abbeville, SC; a sister Anne Motsinger of Greenwood, SC; nine grandchildren.

A Celebration of Mary Jo's life will be conducted Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Greg Henley officiating. There will be a private family burial at Long Cane Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home after services.
