Martha S. Moorhead Norman

Martha Moorehead Norman, 81, resident of Anderson National Healthcare, widow of George Thomas Norman died Monday Feb. 16, 2004 at National Healthcare.

She was born in Hart Co., Georgia, a daughter of the late William Bert and Rema Johnson Moorhead.

She attended Hart County Schools and retired from Abbeville Mills in 1986. She was a active member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors are: One son Randall and daughter-in-law Judy Norman of Greenville, SC; Two daughters, Judy and son-in-law Ken McNair of Abbeville, SC; Linda and son-in-law Otis Wiley of Abbeville, SC; Grandchildren - Craig and his wife Lisa of Abbeville, SC; Merritt and his wife Frankie of Abbeville; Darris and his wife Crystal Wiley of Calhoun Falls, SC; Colby Norman of Abbeville, SC; Cindy and Shane Hawkins of Travelers Rest, SC; Great-grandchildren, Thomas and Linda Wiley, Kasey, Taylor and Emily McNair all of Abbeville, SC; and Tori Ruegg of Travelers Rest, SC.

One brother Gladston and sister-in-law Hazel Moorhead of Hartwell, GA, four sister-in-laws Georgia Moorhead of Hartwell, GA, Peggy Moorhead of Beech Island, SC, Augusta Bradford of GA and Mildred Maxwell of Virginia. One brother-in-law Guy Treadway of GA and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday Feb. 18, 2004 at 3:00 PM from Southside Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Hartley officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 on Wednesday.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 until 3:00 PM in the Parlor of the Southside Baptist Church prior to services at 3:00 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Craig Wiley, Merritt McNair, Darris Wiley, Bobby Bailey, Gene Stone, Ray Hodges and Harper Hagen.

The family is at the home of her daughter Judy McNair, 102 Langley, St., Abbeville, SC.
