Marjorie Loftis Reid

Marjorie Loftis Reid, 70, resident of 2820 Old Hodges Rd. wife of Danny E. Botts passed away Wednesday Aug. 7, 2013 at St. Francis Hospital in Greenville, SC.

Born in Spartanburg County, SC she was a daughter of the late Marion E. Loftis and Lollie Jackson Loftis.

Marjorie was a retired bookkeeper and accountant for numerous car dealerships throughout her career. In her earlier years she was also employed as a Registered Nurse. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, canning and raising cattle. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her wisdom and love of people were one of her strongest attributes. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Campobello and currently attended Hodges Presbyterian Church.

Survivors are: Her beloved husband Danny E. Botts of the home; 2 brothers Bobby Loftis (Jane) of Hawaii and Tommy Loftis (Marian) of Inman, SC; a sister Miriam McClure (Dennis) of Landrum, SC and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted Sunday Aug. 11, 2013 at 2:00 PM in Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Revs. Joel Kelley and Bob Piephoff officiating. The family is at the home 2820 Old Hodges Rd.
