Marilyn Jo Bunch Hursey

Marilyn Jo Bunch Mattison Hursey, 83, resident of 104 Holt Drive widow of John Carvin Mattison, Jr. passed away Monday Feb. 13, 2017 at her home.

She was twice married second to the late Joseph Hursey.

Born in Elberton, GA, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Joseph Bunch and Maude Beasley Bunch.

Marilyn was a retired Administrative Assistant with the County of Anderson, SC. She was a graduate of Abbeville High School and Anderson College. She was also a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church.

Survivors are one daughter Lynn Ellis of the home and a son Van Mattison (Sherry) of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday Feb. 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral with Mrs. Miriam Ferguson officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Thursday morning at the funeral home prior to services. The family is at the home of her granddaughter April Messer 4204 Weatherstone Way Anderson, SC.
