Margaret McNeill King

Margaret McNeill King, 88, widow of Chester Allen King passed away Tuesday May 1, 2012 at Wesley Commons Health Care in Greenwood, SC.

Born Feb. 4, 1924 in Abbeville Co. SC she was a daughter of the late Frank McNeill and Marie McKenzie McNeill.

Margaret was a Music Teacher having taught music in Abbeville Co. School District # 60 for many years before retiring to teach private piano lessons. She was a faithful member of the Due West ARP Church and served in various offices within the church.

Survivors include a son Chester Robertson King and his wife, Sara, of Due West, SC; a sister, Rose McCurry of Summerville, SC; 3 granddaughters, Elizabeth Hare and her husband, Shelton, of Saluda, SC, Sara Rebecca Wojtkowski and her husband, Freddie, of Abbeville, SC and Marianne Hertzfeld and her husband, Ryan, of Columbus, Ohio; 3 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Georgia and Riley.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday May 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Due West ARP Church Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Draffin officiating. The family is at the home 424 Bethlehem Church Rd. Due West, SC.

The family will receive friends Friday morning from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the social hall at Due West ARP Church.
