Margaret "Edna" Williams Ellis
Margaret Edna Williams Ellis, 83, resident of 156 Gin House Rd. Antreville Community widow of William Calvin Ellis, Jr. passed away Friday April 27, 2012 at her home.
Born in Spartanburg, SC she was a daughter of the late Jack Williams and Maude Caldwell Williams.
Edna was formerly employed with Abbeville Shirt Plant and retired from Mayfair Mills. She was a dedicated member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. She will be remembered for her kind and caring demeanor by her loving family and many friends.
Survivors include her son Billy Ellis and his wife Kathy of Abbeville, SC; 2 daughters Donna Wentzel and her husband Ron of Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Rita Major of Abbeville, SC; a sister Juanita Bishop of Charleston, SC; 2 brothers John Williams of Spartanburg, SC and Francis Earl Williams of California; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Edna's Life will be conducted Monday April 30, 2012 at 3:00 PM in Shiloh United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Donalds officiating. The family is at the home 156 Gin House Rd. Antreville, SC.
Memorials in memory of Edna may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church 198 Hwy. 184 Abbeville, SC 29620 or to Hospice of the Upstate 1835 Rogers Rd. Anderson, SC 29621.

To all, Edna was a very caring ,but also very fun loving. I have many memories of her stories about my father and Bill. And she was a great friend to Steve and Shannon when they all were at Mayfair and afterwards. My sincerest sympathy.

The entire Erwin family from Abbeville epresses their sincere sympathy in the passing of Edna. I remember her from the time I was a small child visiting my grandparents there in Antreville. Billy,Donna, Rita Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I always enjoyed working with Edna over the years at Mayfair. I also always enjoyed my visits with her, she was always a joy to talk to. I know all of you are going to miss her. Just know she is in a better place now.

So Sorry to hear of Mrs. Edna's passing. I have many fond memories spending time at her house as a teenager. They were the first people I knew that had an in-ground pool. Donna, hope you and your family are well.
