Lois Ruth Green Miller

Ruth Green Miller, 89, resident of Covenant Way, widow of Joel Hurt Miller, Jr., passed away Friday Nov. 26, 2010 at Carlisle Nursing Center in Due West, SC.

Born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Green and Pearl Bunn Green.

Ruth was a retired Administrative Secretary with the Dept. of Health in Virginia. She also attended Due West Baptist Church.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Anne Kleinginna of Statesboro, Georgia, Mary Washburn of Yancyville, NC and Diane Crenshaw of Due West, SC; 1 sister, Mary Trimble of Omaha, NE; 5 grandchildren Jennifer Taylor Hicks, Jonathan Taylor, Carol Kleinginna Slonimski, William Bryan Crenshaw and Joel Mercer Crenshaw; 4 great-grandchildren, Jack Hicks, Sara Hicks, Jack Slonimski and Becky Slonimski.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted Tuesday Nov. 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Horton Lounge at Covenant Way in Due West, SC with the Rev.'s Bob Philyaw, Roy Beckham and Lee Kennerly officiating.
