Lillie Sharpe Mundy

Lillie Sharpe Mundy, 88, resident of 113 College Ave., widow of Robert H. Mundy, Sr., passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC, she was a daughter of the late John H. Sharpe and Claudia Davis Sharpe.

Lillie was a 1943 graduate of Erskine College with a degree in French. She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very active in her children's activities and also in community service. She was a member of Bethlehem ARP Church. She was loyal and faithful to Warrenton Presbyterian Church, where she attended for many years. Lillie will be fondly remembered for her gentle demeanor and her loving smile.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Lucretia Seigler and her husband, Billy, of Irmo, SC; 1 son, Tommy Mundy and his wife, Sharon, of Abbeville, SC; 4 grandchildren Kim Sherard, Sheila Mundy, Stacy Mundy and Justin Mundy; 4 great-grandchildren Derek Kilgore, Alex Kilgore, Rylee Denman and Raegan Denman. She was the last member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by a son Bobby Mundy.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday April 30, 2011 at 4:00 PM in the Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ed Kirkpatrick officiating. The burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:30 PM Saturday afternoon at the funeral home prior to services. The family is at the home 113 College Ave. Abbeville, SC.
