Lillian Stone

April 23, 1931 — June 21, 2019

Lillian Trainor Stone, 88, of Abbeville wife of the late Marion M. Stone died peacefully on June 21, 2019 at the Renaissance in Due West, SC. She was formerly of the Cedar Springs Community. Lilian was born in Inglewood, New Jersey on April 23, 1931 to the late Frank Hale Trainor and Charlie Pruitt Trainor.

Mrs. Stone graduated from Abbeville High School. She was employed with Milliken Mills for over 40 years retiring in 1993. She was a member of Abbeville First Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Amy Long Circle.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Frank and Raymond Trainor.

Surviving Mrs. Stone that she left to cherish her memory are her children Linda Ramey and her husband Franklin and Frankie Stone and his wife Gina all of Abbeville, SC. Four grandchildren, Heather Elrod (Tim) of Anderson, SC, Franklin Ramey (Brittany), Allison Driggers (Jody), Casey Stone (Heather) all of Abbeville, SC; six great-grandchildren Madison Ramey, Stone and Cole Driggers, Harper and Frankie Stone and Cort Elrod; She is also survived by her brother Tom Trainor and a sister Betty Ann LaGreca.

Lillian was a supportive and wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was a great cook and an avid flower and vegetable gardener.

She loved baseball and football and especially Clemson baseball. She was small in size but a strong lady that loved life and lived it to the fullest always surrounded by the ones she loved her family.

Our sincere appreciation to all the staff at The Renaissance, Wiley Hall for their loving care, continued support and friendship to our mother Lillian Stone. Also Thank You to Mary Milas for her kindness and care and to the residents at Wiley for their genuine love and concern.

A special Thanks to the Hospice Care of South Carolina, Dr. Scott, Patricia, Elaine and the Hospice Chaplin Kevin for their kindness, care and support.

To the ladies in the Amy Long Circle and Fidelis Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church for all their prayers, visits and cards.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday June 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Moses Aleman officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to services at the funeral home. The family is at the home of her daughter Mr. & Mrs. Franklin Ramey 2188 Stevenson Rd. Abbeville, SC 29620.
