Lila Bell Stevenson Smith

Lila Bell Stevenson Smith, 93, resident of Covenant Way formerly of Briarcliff St. widow of D. Rayford Smith passed away Thursday Feb. 2, 2012 at Carlisle Nursing Center in Due West, SC.

Born in Abbeville, SC she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Clara Bell Stevenson.

Lila Bell was the retired owner and operator of The Abbevilla Motel in Abbeville and was also a member of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church. The family of Lila Bell would like to especially thank the staff and residents of Carlisle Nursing Center for their loving and caring service during her stay there.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday Feb. 4, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Chandler Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. The family is at the home of Mr.& Mrs. Wayne Stevenson 106 Lewis Trace Greenwood, SC.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Saturday morning prior to services at the funeral home.

Memorials in memory of Lila Bell may be made to a charity of one's choice.
