Laureese Ashley Martin

Laureese Ashley Martin, 53, resident of 265 Hwy. 185 South Donalds, SC, wife of Tony Wayne Martin, passed away Monday Sept. 20, 2010 at Oakmont Nursing Home in Greenville, SC.

Born in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Reese Ashley and Laura Elizabeth Winn Ashley.

She was the former owner and operator of the Due West Café. She was also a member of Greenville Presbyterian Church. Laureese was especially fond of her animals whom she loved dearly. She will be truly missed by her loving family and many friends.

Survivors include her husband Tony Wayne Martin of the home and her beloved pets- her 4 dogs and baby squirrel.

A Celebration of life will be conducted Friday Sept. 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Piephoff officiating. The family is at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Carlton Higdon 325 Hwy. 185 South Donalds, SC.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM Friday afternoon prior to services at the funeral home.

A memorial fund in memory of Laureese has been established at the Commercial Bank P O Box 217 Due West, SC 29639. Memorials may also be made to the Greenwood Humane Society P O Box 242 Greenwood, SC 29648.
