Kathryn Williams Williams

Kathryn Williams Williams, 95, resident of Spring Arbor of Raleigh, NC, formerly of North Main St., Abbeville, SC, widow of James Marvin Williams, Sr., died Saturday, May 8, 2004. She was a resident of Abbeville, SC for over 70 years.

Born in Comer, GA., she was the youngest and last surviving child of the late Elwood and Virginia Jones Williams.

Mrs. Williams was an active member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville and a member of the Bristow Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday School and GA?s for many years. She was also a former member of the Abbeville County Election Commission.

She is survived by: 1 son, James Marvin and his wife Sandy Williams of Raleigh, NC; 2 grandchildren, Charley Williams and Kathryn Meyer; 7 great-grandchildren, Sydni, Cassidy, and JC Williams and Noah, Levi, Jacob, and Caleb Meyer, all of Raleigh, NC. Funeral services will conducted Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Abbeville First Baptist Church at 11:00 AM with the Rev.?s Bill Ellison and Reiny Koschel officiating. The burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery, Abbeville, SC.

The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 PM Monday evening, May 10, 2004.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
