Judy Todd, a beloved member of the community, passed away on November 12, 2023, at the AnMed Medical Center in Anderson. She was born on June 15, 1945, in Due West, South Carolina to Thomas A Ballard and Hazel B Ballard.
Judy will always be remembered for her passion for gardening and her incredible green thumb. She found pure joy in tending to her vegetable garden and took great pride in growing an array of beautiful tomatoes, okra, and various other vegetables.
In addition to her passion for gardening, Judy was a devoted wife to her husband George Albert Todd and a loving mother to their son Scotty Todd. Family always held a special place in Judy's heart, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Scotty.
Judy's memory will forever be treasured by her surviving family members and friends. Her brother Larry Ballard and his wife Becky will carry on her legacy as they navigate this difficult time together. Also left to cherish her memory are several nieces and nephews, as well as her special friend, Paul Cason, jr.
A memorial service honoring Judy's life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at New Hope Baptist Church located at 4226 Hwy 184 in Due West, SC. The service will commence at 11:00 AM. Pastor Richard Ashley will be officiating. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family members, friends, and acquaintances to come together in remembrance of Judy's vibrant spirit and enduring impact.
As we bid farewell to Judy, let us remember her not with sadness but with gratitude for the joy and beauty she brought into our lives. May her soul find peace, and may we find comfort in the lasting memories we hold dear.
