So sorry to learn of Joy's passing. Her family is in my thought and prayers. Joy and I were classmates starting in first grade at Central Elementary School in Greer where her dad was Principal. We reconnected several years later when her family moved to Travelers Rest and again during college when Joy worked part-time with the Greenville News/Piedmont. We lost contact after that. When I knew her, Joy always had a smile on her face and a real concern for people.
