Joseph Daniel Johnson

Joseph Daniel Johnson Jr., 40, of 98 Lonesome Dove Road died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at his home.

Born in Orangeburg, he was the son of the late Joseph Daniel Johnson Sr. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Georgia Medical College. He was a former manager of Winn-Dixie Store in Hilton Head Island. He was a former manager of a Hardees Franchise in North Carolina, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother, Billie Jean Todd of the home; sister, Mary Louise Gilmer of Abbeville; and four brothers, James Miller-Beauford, Steven Randall Beauford and Gregory Glen Beauford, all of Abbeville, and James David Johnson of Tampa, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Millard Shumate, and one brother, Otis Johnson.

Services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville; burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Beauford, 117 Union Church Road, Abbeville.
