Jose Rodriguez

Jose Antonio Rodriguez, 80, husband of Maria Rodriguez, resident of Calhoun Falls, entered into rest Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the Hospice House of Care of the Piedmont Hospice and Palliative Care. Born on February 1, 1945 in San German, Puerto Rico to the late Juan Antonio Rodriguez and the late Celia Vargas. Jose later moved to New York City where he was a Golf Course Grounds Keeper in Long Island, New York for many years. He raised a beautiful family and loved them very much. He was of the Catholic faith. Surviving him are his wife of 58 years; his children, Marivonnette, (Jeff), Glendalisse (Ruben), and Marivelisse; his brother, Wilfredo Rodriguez; his grandchildren, Kaylin and Ruben Antonio. He was predeceased by 1 brother and 2 sisters. A celebration of Christian Mass will be held at a later date in Puerto Rico. Memorials in Jose’s memory made be sent to the charity of one’s choice. Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home and Cremation Services is honored to serve the Rodriguez family.
