John Wayne Price

John Wayne Price, 62, resident of 383 Klugh Rd. husband of Tammie Ferguson Price passed away Monday Aug. 2, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of the late Willie Lee Price and Hazel Wynona Stone Price.

John Wayne was a retired conductor with CSX Railroad with over 35 years of service. He was a member of the Foothills Beagle Club in Greenville, SC and of Rabbits Unlimited of Abbeville, SC. He was an active member of Grace Community Church in Greenwood, SC. Upon his retirement John Wayne especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He will be sorely missed by his loving family and his many friends.

Survivors include his loving wife Tammie Ferguson Price of the home; 3 sons John Wayne Price, Jr. (Cathy), Andy Price (Valarie) and Stewart Price (Amber); 1 daughter Kristi Crocker (Geoff); 1 brother Billy Ray Price (Marilyn); 1 sister Shelia Price Brown (Chris); grandchildren Savannah Price, J.W. Price, Christian Crocker, Ty Price, Andrew Price, Ryan Crocker, Shannon Beth Price and Addison Price; and his mother-in-law Joyce Ferguson.

He was preceded in death by a son David Shannon Price and his father-in-law Robert "Frog" Ferguson.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday Aug. 4, 2010 at 4:30 PM at Grace Community Church with the Pastor Rodney Schultz officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family is at the home 383 Klugh Rd. Abbeville, SC.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Wednesday afternoon prior to services at the church.
