Jimmy Ray Morris

June 22, 1942 — October 10, 2002

Jimmy Ray Morris, 60, of 1261 McDill Road, died Friday, Oct. 11, 2002, at The Augusta VA Hospital.

Born in Franklin County, Tenn., he was a U.S. Army veteran and was retired from the Pirelli Cable Co. He attended Congregational Holiness Church.

Surviving are widow, Bonnie Wiley Morris of the home; sons, Carlo Morris and Jessie Morris, both of the home, and David Morris of Abbeville; daughter, Vickie Morris of Abbeville; brothers, John L. Morris of Abbeville, and Bill T. Morris of Anderson; sisters, Helen Bridges of Greenwood, and Martha Morris and Polly McCord, both of Abbeville; and four grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Luther and Dona Morris Morris.

Services are at 3 p.m. Sunday at Congregational Holiness Church by the Rev. Tye Sorrow; burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home, Abbeville.

The family will be at the home.
