Jerry Pate

Jerry Pate, 66, resident of Bradley, SC passed away Monday Feb. 22, 2016 at the Hospice House in Greenwood, SC.

Born in Yancey County, NC he was a son of the late Alvin and Grace Sherlin Pate.
Jerry was retired from Duke Power as a lineman and supervisor. He was a faithful member of Shepherd's Chapel.

Survivors include his beloved wife Linda Birchfield Pate of the home; one son Jerry Steven Pate of Bradley; two daughters Lisa Braswell and Patricia Wright both of Bradley, SC; a sister-in-law Julie Ann Pate of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughter Cynthia Renee Ashley of Honolulu, Hawaii; a number of other grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Frank and Fannie Pate who reared him in their home and a brother Ronnie Lee Pate.

A Celebration of Jerry's life will be conducted Friday Feb. 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM in Rehoboth United Methodist Church 1808 Callison Hwy. Greenwood, SC with the Rev. Carol Peppers Wray officiating.

Prayers to the family,I always looked up to Jerry growing up, Playing his Guitar "Wildwood Flower"He always had time for all us kids on Scronce Creek.He was one of the Good guys.RIP
