Jerri Smith

  Jerri Dunneah Smith, 54, resident of 75 Watts Road passed away peacefully Thursday August 24, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born in Greenwood, SC she was a daughter of Doris Simpson Smith and the late Alan W. Smith.

Jerri was a waitress for years at The Village Grill where she had a loyal contingent of customers for her dedicated service of excellence. She later was the office manager and bookkeeper for Boggero’s Septic Tank of Greenwood, SC. Jerri was a loving and free- spirited person who had a love for life. She especially loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all.

Survivors include: Her mother Doris Simpson Smith of Abbeville, SC; a son Tyrese Smith of the home; a sister Deanna Smith of the home; special nephew Michael Smith of Abbeville, SC; her companion Kirk Gillerson of the home; step-son Tra Jan Gillerson of the home; great-niece Recce Smith; special friends.

A Celebration of Jerri’s life will be conducted Saturday August 26, 2023, at 3:00 PM in the Chapel at Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home with Mr. Kevin Simpson and Mr. Steve Proctor officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon from 2:00 until 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to services.
