Dear Robin,
My condolences to you and the family. Our families the Strother and Rosenbergs had intertwined for generations. My mother was the bedside nurse for Mrs. Celie Rosenberg as a youth before becoming a teacher Mrs. Essie S. Patterson. A canoe stayed above the shelf in Rosenberg Clothiers and my Uncle Ernest Strother helped Phillip, George and Levi to build it as well as fishing times too. Another uncle of mine George rode the Arabian horses with intentions of training until he fell and broke his leg. That was the end of his horse training days. In my generation, Robin, we were classmates at Abbeville High and again at Lander (College) in the school of education. May these written words bring comfort knowing that doing this time of sorrow, my prayers and thoughts of days gone shared may add peace to our souls. Sincerely, Lemuel Patterson , Savannah, GA.
