Janet Hamre DiRienzo

Janet Hamre DiRienzo, 79, resident of 501 Sunset Drive, died Friday, May 28, 2004, at Abbeville Nursing Home.

Born in Redding, Pa., she was a graduate of Albertus Magnus College. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a graduate of Cadet Nursing School at Massachusetts General Hospital. She retired from public and private practice after more than 40 years of service. She was also a member of the Abbeville Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are widower, Arthur D. DiRienzo of the home; daughters, Susan Erhardt of Antonio, Texas, Donna Jean Catone of Lansing, N.Y., and Lori Eller of Abbeville; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was the widow of Arthur A. DiRienzo and the daughter of the late John R. and Karen Olson Hamre.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. John Timmerman; burial will follow in Long Cane Cemetery in Abbeville. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday before services.
