James "Tommy" Thomas Stevenson
James Thomas 'Tommy' Stevenson, 55, resident of 104 Diamond St. died Wednesday Dec. 26, 2007 at his home.
Born in Abbeville Co. SC he was a son of William Oscar Stevenson and the late Willie Mae Ray Stevenson.
Tommy was a employee of the Abbeville Area Medical Center working in the Shipping and Receiving Dept. He was also a member of the Congregational Holiness Church. Tommy will be remembered as a caring son and loving father and brother. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Survivors include1 daughter Nikki Stevenson of Abbeville, SC; 2 sisters Cheryl Talbert of Abbeville, SC and Teresa Copelan of Abbeville, SC; his father William Oscar Stevenson of Abbeville, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday Dec. 28, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the Congregational Holiness Church with the Rev. Tye Sorrow officiating. The burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
The body is at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Thursday evening. The family is at the home 104 Diamond St. Abbeville, SC.

Mr. Stevenson,Teresa and Cheryl, I am sorry for the loss of Tommy. I will never forget the memories as childhood neighbors, He had the best Beatles record collection, playing football, just hanging out in the "shack"... These memories will last forever for me. Tommy now walks in Heaven with Jesus! Free at last from pain and suffering.Tommy fought his battle courageously.I was blessed to have had Tommy as my coworker and friend for the last 22 years.My thoghts and prayers will be with you, his family.

The suffering has ended, may Tommy find peace. He fought a strong and difficult fight with cancer. Cheryl you rarely left his side, God bless you. A wonderful sister you have been to Tommy. May Tommy rest in peace.
