James "Jimmy" Roy Hammond

James Roy "Jimmy" Hammond Jr., 71, resident of Apartment 10, Woodview Apartments died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, in Calhoun Falls.

Born in Abbeville County, he was a retired employee with Flexible Tubing in Abbeville and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Greenwood.

Surviving are widow, Edith Kimsey Hammond of Calhoun Falls; sisters, Cynthia Hammond and Arvilla Ann Hammond, both of Abbeville, and Maggie Thelma "Chick" Wilson of Anderson.

He was the son of the late James Roy Sr. and Maggie Mobley Hammond.

Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at The Chandler-Jackson Funeral Home Chapel by Bishop Doug Pennock; burial will follow in Lebanon Presbyterian Church cemetery in Abbeville. The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. before services.

Family members will be at their respective homes.
